Resumen
En este capítulo analizamos el reto que supone el uso de las redes sociales en educación. Las redes sociales son una potente herramienta en la educación que permiten al alumno desarrollar conductas deseables como puede ser el aprendizaje en equipo, la autonomía personal, así como el criterio en la selección de información veraz y correcta. Es evidente que Internet ocupa un lugar muy importante en la vida de cualquier persona lo que incluye a los adolescentes en la etapa educativa, surgiendo la necesidad de adaptar la Web 2.0 a los espacios escolares. Además, se hace un especial hincapié en las pautas necesarias para hacer un uso correcto de las redes sociales evitando conductas negativas derivadas de un mal uso de las mismas. Analizaremos los distintos tipos de redes así como los peligros que derivan de ellas durante las etapas tempranas del desarrollo personal. Todos estos peligros derivados del uso de las redes sociales, como por ejemplo el ciberbullying, el sexting, la ciberadicción, etc., hacen necesaria la supervisión por parte de padres y profesores de la actividad que el adolescente desarrolla en estas plataformas, así como el establecimiento de una serie de normas que regulen y enseñen al adolescente a autorregularse con el fin de que éstas no supongan las únicas relaciones sociales que el alumno pueda tener.

Abstract
In this chapter we analyze the challenge posed by the use of social networks in education. Social networks are a powerful tool in education, promoting desirable behaviors such as team learning, personal autonomy and the criteria in the selection of truthful and correct information. It is clear that the Internet occupies a very important place in the life of any person including teenagers during their educational stage, hence the need to adapt Web 2.0 to school spaces. In addition, a special emphasis is placed on the necessary guidelines to make a correct use of social networks avoiding negative behaviors derived from their misuse. We will analyze the different types of networks as well as the dangers that derive from it during the early stages of personal development. All the dangers derived from the use of social networks, such as cyberbullying, sexting, cyber-bullying, etc., make necessary the supervision on the part of parents and teachers of the activity that the teenagers develop on these platforms. Also, we will stress the need of establishing a series of norms that teach students to self-regulate so that these are not the only social relations that the student can have.
