Design and implementation of an instructional pedagogical assistant

Resumen
El principal reto para los educadores hoy, radica en diseñar sus clases que sean atractivas para los estudiantes y a su vez que estén orientadas bajo un modelo pedagógico efectivo y evolucionado en el uso de tecnologías. A las nuevas generaciones se les debe motivar el aprendizaje, a través de escenarios educativos que impliquen el uso de tecnologías de manera efectiva, sin embargo, aún es común ver modelos de enseñanza y aprendizaje transmisionistas en donde priman la memoria y el aprendizaje guiado. El interés en reestructurar los modelos educativos con fundamento en metodologías emergentes acorde a las necesidades de conocimiento actuales, es reducida, y su ausencia tiene como consecuencia la creación de cursos y escenarios de aprendizaje poco motivantes, carentes de las posibilidades que ofrecen las tecnologías en el aula. Es pertinente aprovechar los nuevos escenarios que progresivamente se viene intensificando, en la aplicación de plataformas de aprendizaje virtuales como herramientas que permiten complementar las estrategias educativas. Se ha propuesto en el presente proyecto, el diseño de una herramienta en línea, que apoye al docente en el diseño y creación de escenarios de aprendizaje bajo la plataforma LMS Moodle, en donde se haga énfasis en el uso de las herramientas que incorporan estas plataformas educativas; brindando así las indicaciones de cómo poder aplicarlas conscientemente, y así evitar que se continúe usando como repositorio de lecturas y de publicación de notas en formatos PDF. La incorporación efectiva de herramientas tecnológicas en las clases requiere de métodos instruccionales emergentes acorde a las necesidades educativas de hoy.

Abstract
The main challenge for educators nowadays lies in designing alluring classes for the students, and at the same time oriented under an effective and evolved pedagogical model making use of the technology. New generations should be motivated to learn through educational scenarios that involve the use of technologies effectively, however, it is still common to see transmissionist teaching and learning models where memory and guided learning prevail. The interest in restructuring educational models based on emerging methodologies according to current knowledge needs is limited, and their absence results in the creation of courses and learning scenarios that are not very motivating, lacking the possibilities offered by technologies in the classroom. It is pertinent to take advantage of the new scenarios that progressively intensifies, in the application of virtual learning platforms as tools that allow complementing educational strategies. The design of an online tool, which supports the teacher in the design and creation of learning scenarios under the LMS Moodle platform has been proposed in the present project, where emphasis is placed on the use of the tools that offers this educational platform; thus providing the indications of how to apply them consciously to avoid it’s use just as a repository of documents. The effective incorporation of technological tools in the classes requires emerging instructional methods according to the educational needs of today.
