Abstract
In the present work was raised as the main aim to address the different teaching methodologies in a classroom of 6th of Early Childhood Education for the teaching and learning of Mathematics. On that basis, and after making a comparison between different forms of work, it seeks to determine which is the most suitable for work in the classroom and try to eliminate stereotypes and negative feelings that often raise the matter. On the one hand we analyze the traditional methodology, the most widespread in the classrooms of our country, whose main characteristic is that the source of information emanates from the realization of chips, from a class book or teacher. On the other hand we find the constructivist methodology, in which the game and handling have the underpinning role in the teaching-learning process. The study population with which we have worked is understood with a total of 25 students in the last year of Early Childhood Education, with which we conducted a series of activities according to the didactic methodologies analyzed. The results suggest that the students felt more comfortable and motivated with the one that was integrated into the game and manipulation, significantly improving its attention on the task at hand and responding favorably to the shift from a traditional to a constructivist model.
