Abstract
The artistic education consolidated in formative levels, finds endorsement in theoretical-methodological budgets of the modernity and the avant-garde, besides examples as the creative self-expression and the interpretation of the visual culture with denotative-connotative aspects. It is not so much about denying the past as it is about ‘trans-modern’ intersection and interjection (Rodríguez-Magda, 1989). Exchange of values supported by symbolic re-configurations, in line with educational legacies that claim socio-cultural returns. Discussions and criticisms about the reviled academicism led to positions almost ‘academic’ again, along with ideals close to the professionalization of industrialization and its counterpoints. Scope in which, at present, not so much the ‘post’ but the ‘trans-modernity’ is postulated; understood not as a radical rupture, but as an interstitial process that (de-)/ re-constructs ‘glocal’ (global-local/ interconnected) culture. One of the most discussed and even irresolute problems that art education has had in its various degrees of regulated academic education has been the intrinsic relationship with the artistic practice itself, scarcely weighted in a habitual way. Since the so-called Fine Arts were introduced/ integrated in university studies with the conversion of the former Higher Schools into Faculties, practically upholding the criteria of the European Higher Education Area supported by the well-known ‘Bologna agreements’ implemented during the first decade of the 21st century; the teaching and research trajectories that were recognized in the education of art (Marín, De la Iglesia and Tolosa, 1998 and others) seem to have been changed again, due to the implementation of methodologies such as Active-Cooperative Learning.
