The Musical Mind: Critical Foundations and New Frontiers in Music Pedagogy emerges at a time of profound transformation in artistic education. As neuroscience and technology redefine our understanding of musical cognitive processing, pedagogical practice faces the challenge of integrating these advances without losing its historical foundations. Consequently, it has become imperative to examine the intersection of mind, emotion, and learning to propose educational models that respond to the diversity of the 21st century. This volume aims to explore the evolution of music pedagogy from a critical and interdisciplinary perspective. In addition to analyzing the neurocognitive bases of musical thought, the book addresses the “new frontiers” that include the digitalization of teaching, and methodological innovation. To this end, we invite researchers and educators to submit original empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and innovative pedagogical proposals that contribute to a deeper and more holistic understanding of the musical mind in diverse educational contexts.
