Ethical Guidelines

Adaya Press is committed to the highest standards of integrity and academic rigor, following the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All participants in the publishing process must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Integrity in authorship and AI usage
  • Originality and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be the authors’ original intellectual contribution. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism (redundant publication) or the use of someone else’s ideas without proper credit, is strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship and Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI tools (such as LLMs or generative AI) cannot be listed as authors, as they cannot take responsibility for the integrity or accuracy of the research. If AI was used in the production of the manuscript, its use must be clearly disclosed in the “Acknowledgments” or “Methodology” section, specifying which tool was used and for what purpose. Authors remain fully responsible for any content generated by AI.
  • Approval and Consensus: All listed authors must have made a substantial contribution to the work and must explicitly approve the final version before submission. The order of authorship should be agreed upon before the manuscript is evaluated.
2. Disclosure and Transparency
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors are required to disclose any personal, professional, or financial interest that could be perceived as influencing the objectivity of the manuscript. If no such interest exists, the following statement must be included: “The authors declare that there are no competing interests regarding this publication.”
  • Funding Disclosure: All sources of financial support for the research must be identified. If no external funding was received, authors must state: “This research was conducted without external funding.”
  • Previous Dissemination: Works under consideration must not be simultaneously submitted elsewhere. If the work is based on a thesis, abstract, or academic lecture, the original source must be correctly cited, ensuring the submission offers new and significant academic value.
3. Ethical Oversight and Standards
  • Human and Animal Rights: Research involving human participants or animals must confirm compliance with international ethical standards (e.g., the Declaration of Helsinki). Proof of approval from an institutional ethics committee must be available upon request.
  • Data Integrity: Fabricating or falsifying data is a severe breach of ethical conduct. Authors must be prepared to provide raw data for editorial review if requested.
4. Reviewer and Editorial Conduct
  • Neutrality and Confidentiality: Editors and reviewers must evaluate submissions based solely on their academic merit, without bias. All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents.
  • Correction of Errors: Should a significant error be identified post-publication, authors and editors are obligated to cooperate in the publication of an erratum or, in extreme cases, a formal retraction.
